The ultimate goal of Altitude's Operations Research Department is to find optimal solutions to the airline industry's complex problems. Altitude's vision is to simplify processes, improve productivity and cost-effectiveness, while enhancing crewmember satisfaction.

The Altitude OR Team
Altitude's OR department employs OR professionals with Master degrees and PhDs, with the goal of conducting short-term and medium-term research projects. Many of these OR specialists have been with Altitude since its inception and have gained substantial airline related expertise.

The OR department's main responsibilities include:

• the design of new applications and new optimization models,
• the improvement of existing application models and features, and
• the continuous work on Altitude's optimization engine

GERAD Research Partner
AD OPT Technologies was founded in 1987 by research professors of GERAD, an internationally renowned Operations Research (OR) group specializing in decision analysis. This close relationship has been maintained and strengthened throughout the years resulting in many successful projects.

The GERAD research center is comprised of 6 professors, 6 professionals, and 40 students that work on new technologies to allow our products to tackle larger, more complex problems. This includes specialized algorithms to solve the master problem in our column generation tool and new technologies to improve the generation of integer solutions.
